About the Opportunity
Are you interested in preserving public health and the environment and have the confidence to apply the regulations necessary to achieve compliance with the relevant legislation? If so, you could be part of a team within Council’s Environmental Health Unit. If you are currently undertaking a course of studies in environmental health and you are looking for a trainee role to gain some on the job practical experience then this may be a suitable opportunity for you. In this role you will gain experience in most of the functions of a Environmental Health Officer, including the monitoring of environmental systems that should result in fast tracking your career.

Salary : Employment is under the Local Government (State) Award. This position is placed as a Trainee EHO, Band T7 in the Cumberland / Auburn salary structure with a salary range of $848.50 gross per week.
Conditions of Employment :
This is a temporary full-time position for a period of up to 12 months, working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday with one flex day per fortnight. The position will be initially located at Auburn, however there is the possibility that you may be working across Auburn and or Merrylands worksites.
