This new AIR5428 Lead Technician opportunity will work with the team to ensure the effective operability of the Lockheed Martin PC-21 GBTS and its facilities. Based in Sale Victoria, this position reports directly to the Senior Ground School Instructor.
Your responsibilities will include (not limited to):
The primary responsibility of the Lead Technician is to provide an advanced quality and efficient level of technical maintenance and support activities to a wide variety of technical equipment and facilities, including troubleshooting, calibration and testing, analysing, diagnoses, installing, maintaining, and repairing. These activities are primarily to ensure the effective operability of the Lockheed Martin PC-21 GBTS and its facilities. This position will also provide guidance, mentoring and training to lower level technical employees, including assigning work and scheduling workflow.
Employees who work on roster are employed on a flexible shift basis to provide the desired degree of operational flexibility. Employees may also be required to work alone on occasion.
All employees of this position must successfully complete a pre-employment medical which satisfies the Company of their ability to meet the requirements of the position.
You will have skills and experience in: -Diploma or above in a relevant discipline (electronics, electrical, mechanical engineering, systems administration, (Linux) and/or equivalent relevant experience. -Significant flight simulator maintenance experience. -Leadership skills with the ability to manage workflow for self and a team of technical support staff. -Leadership of engineering support tasks, i.e. leads investigations to support engineering development, system problem resolution or system commissioning. -Ability to resolve a wide variety of standard, non-standard and complex technical issues using advanced techniques and extensive knowledge of discipline.
Significant knowledge, ability and experience to perform routine and complex maintenance of appropriate machinery including: -Digital Processing equipment -Audio-Visual equipment -PC computers and associated LAN networks and systems -Digital or voice communication systems -Other equipment as required
