About the Role – Are you ready?
We are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Manager who will be responsible for the end-to-end operational delivery and performance of our Federal Government client’s network infrastructure. This role involves providing leadership to Optus delivery groups and you should be seen as a trusted advisor to the client. You will also play a critical role in providing the required governance across applicable network related platforms.
With strong Customer communication skills coupled with strong IT awareness, your core focus will be on network planning and optimisation of our client’s infrastructure and you’ll be the senior customer escalation point for incident, problem and change management. Key to success will be your ability to maintain close working relationships internally with Optus delivery and sales teams, to align with our strategic business drivers.
About You…What does success look like?
We expect you to have a high level of demonstrable experience gained in a similar role from a reputable ICT/ Telco Managed Services environment; delivering high quality, operationally focused technical services. You'll possess a mix of technical know-how and delivery focused leadership experience, and with Government clients. Ideally, this should include experience working with Incident, Problem, Change Management, and Service Asset & Configuration teams and overall ITIL Service Continuity Management experience.
Importantly, we’ll require you to have a solid understanding of Networks (including Cisco routing, switching, WAN acceleration and firewalls); carriage (Data, SIP, ISDN, NBN, DSL) and cloud & data centres. It is likely that you commenced your IT career in a network engineering capacity and you increased your skills and knowledge to now have the ability to lead virtual teams and maintain critical relationships with key internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
