Speech Pathologist - Mackay
Purpose of position:
To provide initial support and therapy services to young children with a developmental delay or disability as a part of their engagement with Early Childhood Early Intervention under the NDIS.
The introduction of the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) is the greatest change to the disability sector in Australia in decades. UnitingCare Community has been selected to partner with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) in the roll out of the Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) service in Townsville, Mackay and Toowoomba.

The ECEI approach has been designed to identify the type and level of early intervention support a child needs to achieve their best outcome. A family centred approach that supports greater inclusion in mainstream settings and builds capacity of a child and their family is proven to have positive effects in early childhood intervention.
In this pivotal role your demonstrated ability to work closely with children developmental delay and disability and their families to meet positive, outcome focused goals and milestones will be highly regarded. Reporting to the UnitingCare Community - ECEI, Team Leader, you will have the opportunity to be part of a like-minded and cohesive team, who are committed to making a difference in the lives of these children and their families.
Through the implementation of the early childhood early intervention approach your guidance and support to enable families to make the best decisions for their children will be crucial to the success of this service.
As an experienced Speech Pathologist with Paediatric experience, you will have:
