Your new role
To operate as a Senior Specialist Engineer and provide engineering services for Transport Infrastructure projects. The position will support the Coordinator and Executive Coordinator of the Infrastructure Unit to develop small, medium and large scale transport infrastructure projects from concept level through to delivery using a combination of internal and external resources. Transport infrastructure projects include new and upgraded local roads, intersections, cycle ways, pathways and bus stops. You will be required to Liaises with a wide range of Council personnel and elected Councilors, government departments, consultants, members of various interest groups, business owners, tenders, contractors, residents and visitors.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to hold a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, have significant experience in the field and ideally in transport infrastructure. You will hold a great wealth of knowledge in your technical capabilities to co-ordinate and manage minor - moderately complex and multi-disciplinary projects. You will also have the ability to implement project plans through programming systems and have the capability to present them to all major shareholders and stakeholders involved. You will have a high level of developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, which will ensure consistency and clarity. Also be able to developed consultation and negotiation skills with the ability to influence project outcomes. You will also have the ability to significantly developed analytical, problem solving and investigative skills to provide comprehensive advice, options and recommendations to influence project outcomes and the like-minded professionals you work alongside. What you'll get in return
You will be given a competitive and rewarding hourly rate of $105.00 plus your superannuation contributions. You will be given a 6 month contract with probable extensions. This role is based on the Gold Coast, and is an immediate start.
