Senior Product Manager, Loyalty - SYD42647
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Card Acquisition Loyalty within the Consumer Bank division, this position leads Consumer Finance’s loyalty team and function, including loyalty strategy, P&L management, loyalty program management, initiative delivery and partnership management.
Key responsibilities  
As a Senior Manager you will be responsible for but not limited to:
  • Set loyalty strategy and initiative roadmap to drive profitable customer acquisition, engagement and retention. Drive innovation and deliver competitive advantage
  • Develop a clear for merchant funded rewards and commercialisation of data through loyalty
  • Maximise customer value while minimising cost
  • Market analysis: understand local and international markets, both FI and other industries
  • Manage loyalty P&L to target (provisions, redemptions, cost per point)
  • Build success of Westpac Extras program and merchant funded rewards
  • Deliver on roadmap to enhance Altitude & Amplify programs including new partnerships, improved customer experience, and customised redemption content & promotions at a customer level
  • Manage 3 rd party loyalty providers and partnerships including Pinpoint, QFF, Velocity
  • Manage program of redemption campaigns to deliver to plan and optimise cost per point
  • Ensure loyalty is well managed including loyalty provision coverage, redemption actuals to target (revenue & expense), volatility of redemption mix, and payment of invoices
  • Build and lead high performing Loyalty team
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships across the business
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective loyalty partners
To be successful you will have the following experience, skills and/or qualifications  
  • 5+ years’ experience in Loyalty, Product, Marketing and Strategy functions
  • Exposure to Financial Services, Cards and Payments would be ideal
  • Strong experience in developing and executing business strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes within a large organisation
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline e.g. finance, legal, business or commerce
  • A clear aptitude and interest in analytics and problem solving is fundamental
  • Excellent understanding of customer loyalty programs, approaches to influencing customer behaviour, and data driven approaches
  • Strong strategy development and analytical skills
  • Excellent understanding of finance and financial modelling
  • Superior negotiation and influencing skills
  • Innovation – question the status quo and traditional thinking with alternative ideas and approaches
  • Customer focus – gains deep insight into customer needs, behaviours and choices, and leverages this to develop outstanding customer solutions
