Based in western Sydney, our client is a leading national organisation focused in the area of height safety, access and fall-protection solutions. They have a national and international capability to design and install height safety solutions on a range of structures across a wide range of industries.

An opportunity exists for an experienced Sales Estimator to join the organisation. We seek a highly motivated individual with proven sales and estimating experience within the construction industry.

This office-based role is responsible for seeking opportunities to expand clientele base and maximise profit sales volume whilst meeting the expectations and requirements of customers.

To be successful in this role you will be a motivated with a strong customer service ethic, possess excellent communication skills as well as a drive and passion for sales and customer satisfaction. The salary range is $65K - $75K + superannuation depending on experience.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Seeking opportunities to expand customer base with a focus in the new commercial and industrial construction market
  • Maintain and develop existing accounts, maintaining a consistent sales process
  • Preparation and review of tender quote submissions to prospective clients
  • Review and analyse tender specifications, drawings and relevant conditions where necessary
  • Follow up of quotes, tender submissions and client orders
  • Maintain complete and accurate quote register records
  • Business planning and implementation of sales strategies to achieve budgets
  • Implement and maintain the requirements of multiple Australian Standards
  • Competition research and analysis; reporting competitive activity
  • Assistance with significant projects where required

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Sales & estimating experience in the construction industry
  • Experience with using Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit or similar software
  • Strong technical skills, ability to read and interpret plans
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly organised with the capability to prioritise and meet deadlines, outstanding time management skills
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Focused, strong attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and enthusiastic
  • Positive approach to work and colleagues
