A new & exciting venue requires an experienced Restaurant Manager to manage a prestigious venue.


Your new company
This venue is a part of a new establishment incorporating a Bar, Restaurant and Cafe. This role as Restaurant Manager is taking ownership and managing a successful restaurant that prides itself on offering quality service and providing 5 star food and functions to Yarra Valley locals.


Your new role
As the restaurant manager and reporting directly to the GM of Food & Beverage, you will be responsible for:



  • Working closely with the executive and head chef in menu creation and development in accordance with seasonal produce

  • Managing a large team of 50+ staff including supervisors, front of house staff, chefs and kitchen hands

  • Ensuring the day-to-day operations of the venue are running smoothly and efficiently

  • Driving the restaurant activities including front of house staff

  • Ensuring delivery of exceptional customer service

  • Managing a busy restaurant

  • Effectively managing budgets for labour and food costs

  • Implementing OHS and food safety practices

  • Maintaining food safety procedures

  • Maintenance of cleaning schedules and standards




What you'll need to succeed '



  • Strong and demonstrated experience in managing a busy Restaurant

  • Experience in managing financial targets, budgets and costs in a hospitality environment

  • Passion and extensive experience in food and beverage industry

  • Strong leadership skills in the hospitality industry and a passion for mentoring and developing staff

  • Exceptional customer service

  • Experience in fine dining

  • Strong knowledge of food handling standards and OHS

  • Food handling certificate and RSA

  • Ability to work in a changing environment with supportive back of house

  • Strong financial and business acumen

  • Ability to make decisions on the spot within a complex environment

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and work well within a team environment
