We currently have an opportunity for a full time Relief Club Supervisor/Duty Manager. This is a rare opportunity to develop your career progression within a leadership role in an award winning venue. This role will support the permanent Club Supervisor/Duty Manager team by performing higher duties when covering absences, stepping in when extra resourcing in that team is required, or when other business projects are underway.

About You

To fit this role, you will know what it means to be a great leader, the 'go-to' person and love being able to problem solve, take ownership, lead and motivate, and demonstrate generalist operational expertise across the entire Club. A successful Relief Supervisor will work independently within a complex environment, have initiative, excellent communication skills at all levels internally and externally, and be solution focused, positive, flexible and responsive no matter what situation arises.

The Role

Working within the Supervisor team means delivering great support at all times, and role modelling excellence in all you do. This includes:

  • Inspiring, motivating and leading an entire front of house team, ensuring that we live up to  our promise and deliver a Great customer experience
  • Day to day management of Club Operations – including opening and closing, cash  handling, legislative compliance regarding RSA, RCG and WHS, performance  management and grievance handling
  • Conflict management and management of complex operational issues

  • Supervising all aspects of the Club including gaming, catering, reception, bar and keno

  • Thinking outside the square to problem solve

  • High degree of discretion, integrity and confidentiality

  • Monitoring Club's compliance with relevant legislation

Ideal Candidate

  •  Flexibility and availability across the operating hours of the Club
  •  Able to demonstrate behaviours that support developing and using collaborative  relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals 
  • Sense of managerial level ownership and responsibility 

  • Knowledge of Club operations and guiding legislation

  • RSA/RCG/First Aid certificate
