About Epworth Geelong

Epworth Geelong is a new acute & rehabilitation private hospital. Stage One includes 262 inpatient beds, 11 theatres, Emergency Department, ICU and a full range of on-site diagnostic services. Located adjacent to Deakin University, we will integrate clinical practice with teaching and research through our existing and strong partnership with Deakin University in areas of Education and Research & Development.

About the role

We are seeking motivated, innovative and patient-care orientated Registered Nurses to work in our Complex Care Unit. Located in 5 East, our 8 monitored beds Complex Care Unit provides excellent care to our cardiac, neurosurgical and surgical/medical patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessment. This role is an exciting opportunity for flexible, patient-centred Registered Nurses with experience working in either ICU, High Dependency or CCU to join our 5 East team and grow with our services whilst being part of a supportive culture to achieve excellence in care.

Key areas of focus for this role include:

  • Delivering an exceptional patient experience
  • Ensuring patient flow is managed whilst providing high standards of patient care
  • Role-model empathy to patients, families and medical consultants

About you

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Possess current nursing registration with AHPRA
  • Have a relevant post-graduate certificate (highly desirable)
  • Have a contemporary knowledge of best practice in high dependency or cardiac nursing and the patient journey
  • Be highly accountable and demonstrate a supportive and engaging style
  • Be passionate about patient care and achieving high quality clinical outcomes
