5 South West is a 28 bed ward specializing in acute Respiratory and General Medicine. We have a 4 bed Respiratory Care Unit with additional 2 step down beds. The Respiratory Care Unit is used to provide advanced care and monitoring for patients requiring Non Invasive Ventilation, Intercostal Catheter Management, Tracheostomy Management, Hi Flow Oxygenation, Arterial Blood Gas monitoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnoea / Hypo ventilatory patient support.

The position will give the successful applicant(s) the opportunity to experience the ANUM role and learn various systems involved in the management of the ward, it is expected the successful applicant(s) will demonstrate innovative problem solving skills, leadership qualities and the ability to manage staff and resources in the acute setting.
