We have a permanent, full time position for a Level 2 Radiographer / Level 3 Radiographer/ Mammography Technologist at BreastScreen NSW Hunter New England.
You have strong organisational skills and show a commitment to completing work activities effectively. As an organised multi-tasker, you prioritise and manage a complex workload effectively and have demonstrated experience working well under pressure to meet deadlines.
You have strong clinical engagement skills with a natural ability to build strong and successful relationships within the medical community.
You identify opportunities to work collaboratively with other teams / units to solve issues and develop better processes and approaches to work and patient care.
Your outstanding communication skills will ensure clients are treated in a courteous and professional manner, having regard for their rights to privacy, dignity and confidentiality and cultural diversity.
You will be able to demonstrate a commitment to breast cancer screening, with a well-developed knowledge of the BreastScreen Australia Program and an understanding of the National Accreditation Standards and its application to screen reading and assessment.
About the role
The role requires a professional with demonstrated experience in in all aspects of mammography and mammographic quality control procedures and processes of radiographic imaging services.
As a confident communicator and collaborative professional, the successful applicant will develop and promote relevant linkages across multidisciplinary teams including radiographers, radiologists, sonographers, surgeons, nurses and administrative staff.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a commitment to breast cancer screening, with a well-developed knowledge of the BreastScreen Australia Program and an understanding of the National Accreditation Standards and its application to screen reading and assessment.

The opportunity to work in rural areas on the mobile screening van for up to 6 days at a time – a travel allowance is paid. A great way to see the northern New England area.
This position is located in Tamworth, New South Wales. This includes assessment clinics, fixed and mobile screening units and working flexible hours.
Tamworth is located in the heart of North New England area of NSW. It boasts the amenities of a city with the welcoming community of a town and is a hot spot for affordable real estate.
Tamworth itself is home to around three quarters of the region’s residents and is known as Australia`s country music capital, playing host to the iconic annual Tamworth Country Music Festival each January, and year-round a visit to the Big Golden Guitar Tourist Centre is a must.

Appointment will be at appropriate Award rate for a Mammography Technician or Radiographer (Level 2 or Level 3) based on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant.
