About Epworth Geelong

Epworth Geelong is a new acute & rehabilitation private hospital. Stage One includes 262 inpatient beds, 11 theatres, Emergency Department, ICU and a full range of on-site diagnostic services. Located adjacent to Deakin University, we will integrate clinical practice with teaching and research through our existing and strong partnership with Deakin University in areas of Education and Research & Development.

The Role

We are seeking a flexible and experienced Grade 2 Radiographer who will actively contribute to our Cardiac Diagnostic Services, Catheter Lab and Hybrid Theatre. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, this position will have excellent knowledge and be able to mentor junior staff in the provision of excellent clinical care for inpatients and outpatients.

Services in our departments will provide neurosurgical procedures, cardiac and vascular interventions, electrophysiology studies and device implants and will grow to include TAVI, PVI and adult structural heart interventions.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Be appropriately registered with AHPRA (essential)
  • Have extensive (eg. 7 years) experience in a similar role (essential)
  • Have a contemporary knowledge of best practice in imaging in a Catheter Laboatory (essential)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of legislation, registration and radiation safety
  • Have an interest in hybrid perioperative operating environment and a willingness to learn
  • Be passionate about patient care and achieving high quality clinical outcomes
  • Be highly accountable and demonstrate a strong, supportive and engaging style
