At Hudson, we pride ourselves as a large and established Office Support business, working consistently with clients to supply temporary support staff for a variety of industries. We have successfully partnered with the Victorian state government departments to provide temporary and fixed term contract staff. As a preferred supplier to the State Government, Hudson Recruitment are currently looking for a variety of high level administrators that have previously worked in either a government department or an associated statutory authority.


We are keen to hear from experienced, well presented and professional Correspondence Officers, specifically with Government experience for potential upcoming opportunities.


As an experienced Correspondence Officer you will be accountable for:



  • Preparing high level correspondence and Ministerial briefings

  • Liaising with various stakeholders (e.g. Ministers Office, Executives, members of the public etc)

  • Reviewing and investigating departmental correspondence and briefing matters

  • Escalating matters to appropriate stakeholders where necessary

  • Ensuring that deadlines are met in all written and verbal requests.

  • Maintaining a high level a quality assurance in all correspondence and briefing matters


The skills and attributes that you will already have consist of:



  • Previous work experience within Government

  • Knowledge of government document style formatting

  • Attention to detail is an absolute must

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office

  • Working knowledge of MiBS, Emins or Edugate

  • Time management skills with the availability to multi-task

  • Experience in working to tight deadlines and under pressure
