About the opportunity

Bupa Medical Visa Services (BMVS) provides health assessments in a professional, caring and respectful way.  Our main service is the provision of visa and migration medical services to the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP).  This includes provision of on-shore immigration medical examinations through Bupa centres and a network of partner centres nationally.

The Bupa Medical Centre Manager is responsible for leading the team and the services for the on-shore medical assessment services provided through the BMVS medical assessment centre and contracted third parties. The role is accountable for all elements of the financial, operational and clinical quality and safety of the centre.

This role will lead the delivery of an on-shore medical assessment service recognised for its exceptional customer experience, outstanding client outcomes and highest level of clinical safety and quality.  This is a key Bupa leadership role delivering exceptional performance, ensuring Bupa is loved by customers (including DIBP) and employees love working at Bupa.

You will be/have:-

  • Significant proven experience leading and managing medium to large scale operations with high levels of processing in a clinical or commercial setting
  • Strong leadership skills and exposure to people management within health profession
  • Business management skills including the responsibility of managing the profit and loss outcomes
  • Effective time management, resource planning and general operations experience to lead and drive the business strategy and planning activities
  • Proven experience in delivering an exceptional customer experience
  • Has built a reputation for effective and timely delivery and making things happen
  • Industry experience in delivery of public or private health services in conjunction with contracted service level agreement
  • Demonstrated commitment to, and practice of, leadership driven culture and building collaborative working environments
  • Proven ability to set clearly defined objectives and measures to drive business outcomes and meet service level agreements
  • Has built a reputation for effective and timely delivery and making things happen*
