We are seeking a dynamic and engaging Lead Nurse Educator to join our supportive Learning and Development team. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who is passionate about supporting staff development and providing high-quality service for consumers.

Based at our Corporate Services in Malvern, this role is responsible for supporting mecwacare’s Residential, Home Care and Disability services across our North-West Region, travelling between service locations in Keilor East, Westmeadows, Hoppers Crossing, Geelong, Ballarat, Terang, Prahran and Richmond.
Reporting to the Manager Learning and Development, the Lead Nurse Educator works collaboratively to develop and deliver outcomes focused learning for our diverse mix of nursing and care staff. This role will identify solutions and strategies in response to identified trends, learning needs and opportunities for improvement and adopt a problem-solving approach to overcome barriers and promote enablers to staff learning.
To apply for this role, it is essential you possess the following;
  • Current Registration as a Registered Nurse or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse with the Allied Health Practitioner Regulatory Authority (AHPRA)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Current clinical practice skills (applied in the previous 6 months)
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in the planning, development, implementation, facilitation and evaluation of vocational education and training programs, using blended delivery models and adult learning principles.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Well-developed organisational skills and ability to work collaboratively, manage competing initiatives, prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Current Victorian Driver’s License and willingness to travel between mecwacare sites as required
