We are seeking a dynamic and engaging Nurse Educator to join our supportive Learning and Development team. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator, experienced in facilitation, who is passionate about supporting staff development and providing high quality services for consumers.
Based at our Corporate Services in Malvern, this role is responsible for supporting a designated portfolio of mecwacare’s Residential, Home Care and Disability services. Travel between designated mecwacare service locations will be required during working hours.
Reporting to the Manager Learning and Development, the Nurse Educator works collaboratively to develop and deliver outcomes focused learning for our diverse mix of nursing and care staff. With the Learning and Development team, this role will identify, develop and implement learning solutions and strategies in response to identified trends and learning needs, and adopt a problem-solving approach to overcome barriers and promote enablers to staff learning.
To apply for this role, it is essential you possess the following;
Current Registration as a Registered Nurse or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse with the Allied Health Practitioner Regulatory Authority (AHPRA)
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Current clinical practice skills (applied in the previous 6 months) or current clinical knowledge
Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in the planning, development, implementation, facilitation and evaluation of vocational education and training programs, using blended delivery models and adult learning principles.
Excellent verbal/written communication, presentation and facilitation skills
Well-developed organisational skills and ability to work collaboratively, manage competing initiatives, prioritise and meet deadlines.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite
Current Victorian Driver’s License and willingness to travel between mecwacare sites as required
