Indirect Tax Manager

KPMG's Tax division are looking for an Indirect Tax Manager to join our Delivery and Data Excellence (DDX) team. It is the DDX team's responsibility to bring value-add services to our clients through the provision of technical tax compliance services and data analytics within our Tax division.

 

 

Your new role

If you have a curious mindset, great communication skills and an eye for detail then we have a role that could be right for you. We are currently looking for an individual with GST experience to join the Indirect Tax Compliance team.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage, review and preparation of indirect tax returns involving analysis of transactions, trends and underlying data.
  • Key initial point of contact within KPMG and for clients for all matters concerning indirect tax compliance.
  • Help to grow the indirect tax compliance business.
  • Assisting with the transition of new indirect tax compliance engagements (e.g. shadowing and parallel run testing).
  • Manage and develop junior staff.
  • Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office.

You will bring to the role

The key experience and skills being sought include:

  • Previous indirect taxes experience required. ideally within a chartered accountant/legal environment (or equivalent experience in commerce).
  • Experience in managing multiple deliverables concurrently and liaising with a large number of stakeholders.
  • Great people manager with experience in managing global teams preferred.
  • Track record of striving for continuous improvement and delivering enhancements to the control environment for key processes which you have been responsible for.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
