HV Workshop Supervisor

Our Client, located north of the river is seeking to find a dynamic individual who can create and maintain a safe, functional and efficient work environment though the supervision, mentoring and training of the team in the HV Workshop. You will ensure the overhaul and repair of the HV equipment meets budget and schedule and be at the highest quality.

Working with leading organisations the workload is growing and this role will also see you develop and create initiatives to cope with the increasing demand whilst leading the team to achieve successful outcomes in a timely manner. This is a fast paced role, you will need to be able to think on your feet and provide employees with support whilst encouraging them to think on their feet and take ownership of their own areas.

This position will see you liaising with various stakeholders across the business to ensure the division runs smoothly and efficiently; including the WA Operations Manager, Project Managers, Site Planners, Sales Managers, Health and Safety Officer, Quality & Improvement Manager and Accounts.

The requirements for this role are:

  • Minimum 5+ years experience in a Supervisory role
  • A Grade Australian electrical licence
  • Electrical Fitter with HV Motor experience
  • HV motor overhaul experience
  • HV testing and commissioning experience
  • Energetic, can-do nature
  • Ability to work in a forever changing environment (each day is different)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to build relationships
  • Customer focused, team orientated
  • Experience in rail, automotive, military, defence, avionics or any other safety critical environment
