The Bellarine Peninsula’s premium restaurant and catering company is looking for a Head Chef
To take the lead at their ala carte Restaurant in Queenscliff. Reporting to the company’s Executive Chef /CEO, our client is looking for someone who can take ownership of day to day running of the venue. This will include all food costing, ordering, rostering and, of course, plating up exceptional quality food. The successful candidate will need to be efficient and well organised, to manage all facets of the business. You will need to be comfortable with working with the owners writing menus that adapt to the individual needs of clients, and a passion for food and customer service is a must. You will be responsible for managing a small team, and should be a calm leader with good people skills.
As the successful candidate you will demonstrate:

Applicable trade qualifications and accreditations
Previous experience as a Head Chef, preferably within both fine dining and function environments
Creativity and knowledge of current food trends with an Asian twist
A passion for food, and desire to consistently improve
Strong organisational skills
Ability to manage ordering, including stock levels, budgets and suppliers
Proficiency in all aspects of food safety, including HACCAP and Food Safety Supervisor
Experience managing a team, including good leadership skills
Positive communication skills, energy and attitude
