Permanent full-time We are currently seeking an energetic, flexible and
reliable person to join our Maintenance Staff. Duties include the completion of a diverse range of repairs and preventative maintenance to a high standard and in a timely manner, assisting with the setting up and down for functions and general upkeep of our facilities. Applicants should be physically fit, multi-skilled and have good communication skills. The ability to work in a team is essential and a current MR-class licence is desirable. The Maintenance/Handyman provides support for the maintenance of quality working and
learning environment for the staff and students of Loreto Kirribilli. In addition the person drives the Loreto Kirribilli Bus as required. The person reports to the Principal through the Facilities Officer. The Maintenance/Handyman Person is part of the Maintenance Department and is expected to attend meetings as required and to meet with the Facilities Officer on a daily basis. Assist in the continuing development of a culture that is in harmony with Catholic

Encourage and support the growth, appreciation and acceptance of the values and
beliefs of the Catholic Church. 1.2 Foster the religious dimension of the curriculum and ensures that Catholic values are
reflected in subject materials. 1.3
Support the policies and procedures that realise the goals of the Loreto Schools of
Australia Mission Statement. 1.4
Support the prayer and liturgical life of the School.
Support and promote the Schools pastoral care policy.
Perform weekly building and plant inspections.
Receive and assess maintenance requests and is directed by the Facilities Officer when
assessing and prioritising workloads. 2.3
Perform good quality corrective and preventative maintenance work and other tasks
that do not require a licenced tradesperson. 2.4
Monitor work performed by contractors for completeness and quality of work.
Follow up outstanding works (including contractor works).
Maintain plant rooms, switch rooms and the like for cleanliness.
Assist with courier duties such as the daily mail run.
Performs from time to time general duties as required.
Perform ground duties as directed by the Horticulturist.
Ensure Work Health Safety Regulations are adhered to at all times.
Bus Driver Duties (as required)
Under the direction of the Facilities Officer the Maintenance/Handyman:
Drives the School Bus as required

Experience in providing support of a skilled nature across various trade areas.
Current Class MR Drivers licence.
Current First Aid Certificate.
Commitment to providing services to a high standard.
Self-starter with the ability to assess and prioritise workload, to work unsupervised

Demonstrate initiative in suggesting areas of need in the school.
Must enjoy working in an environment with young people.
Ability to perform general building repairs such as tiling, install/repair gyprock,
windows (aluminum/timber), doors, painting, basic plumbing, light globe replacement etc. Performance Management:
