Grants Project Manager
APS 6 - Business and Grants Manager -24704 - PAD
An ongoing APS6 opportunity is currently available within the Biodiversity Science section, Department of the Environment and Energy; located in the Australian National Botanic Gardens.
The successful applicant will work to manage the sections budget (Departmental and administered); supporting the Director and team leads in cost centre management, budget builds, budget forecasting, financial reporting, developing and implementing budget controls, managing and advising on procurement, and maintaining records.
The position occupant will also manage the Australian Biological Resources Study's National Taxonomy Research Grant Programme and support the management of the Bush Blitz grants programme, which provide funding for biological science research in the fields of taxonomy and biosystematics.
Applicants should have a detailed knowledge and understanding of Australian Government legislative, financial and administrative frameworks and be able to demonstrate proven experience in financial management (procurement, grants administration and/or financial accountability).
