In Brisbane, we have a strong, established team providing services to the water sector, drawing on most disciplines locally, and contributing to our global competencies. Our local team has an opportunity for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to assist delivering our committed and forecast workload.

As a member of the water team your key tasks will be to assist delivering engineering designs for infrastructure projects, focused on pipeline hydraulics and design of treatment plant equipment. In this position you will work on industrial and municipal water and wastewater projects from master-planning and feasibility studies through to detailed design and construction support. Experience with 3D CAD modelling for CFD analysis software would be advantageous, as would an understanding of pumps and piping design.

To be successful in this position you will:

  • Understand hydraulic engineering and apply this knowledge to solving problems including pumped flow and gravity flow hydraulic analysis.
  • Assist with piping and equipment, functional and structural design including preparing conceptual through to detailed design drawings for water or wastewater treatment sites.
  • Assist with writing and preparing engineering reports to communicate solutions to clients.
  • Work proactively within a multi-discipline team of professionals.
