Client Delivery Manager

About the Role

As our new Client Delivery Manager (CDM) on one of our Federal Government accounts, you’ll be the principal point of contact for all service, operational and tactical issues for the client. You will guarantee impeccable delivery of all high-value and in-scope contracted services for the account, whilst ensuring performance goals and cost commitments are met.


You will also manage overall delivery commitments with end-to-end accountability for service delivery, including meeting delivery targets, ensuring service excellence and operating withing the financial model. In executing seamless end-to-end service transformation and project delivery for the client, you will meet our contractual requirements and SLAs whilst achieving operational and P&L targets.


Developing and maintaining healthy and productive client relationships at the executive level is critical to this role and as such you will play a key part in supporting growth opportunities and contributing to the success of both the client and Optus.


What does success look like?

Before you call/apply please be aware that this role involves work for the Australian Government and will potentially have access to classified information/resources. As such, a security clearance is required and therefore it is a requirement that the successful candidate be an Australian Citizen.


You'll most likely have an impressive background in ICT client and service delivery to Federal Government with experience dealing with multiple customers and a proven ability to achieve and exceed operational goals. We also need to see:


  • Superb influencing, negotiation and communication skills with strong commercial acumen
  • The ability to apply your knowledge of business management, financial concepts and contracts to analyse business needs and develop recommendations
  • Experience in the effective utilisation of remote delivery capability
  • The ability to excel in a matrix organisation
  • Expert industry knowledge and an understanding of the current and future landscape and trends the Service Management market
  • ITIL/ITSM experience and a fundamentals certification as a minimum
  • Proven track record of delivery with full P&L management ideal
