The opportunity 
We have an exciting opportunity for an Mechanical Systems Engineer to be a part of our Fleet Maintenance Division within Sydney Trains. 

The Mechanical Systems Engineer is responsible for the development of technical standards and specifications, provision of technical information and conducting investigations into technical issues associated with the mechanical systems of the Sydney and NSW Trains Passenger Fleet to ensure safe and reliable operation.

The role primarily focuses on the development and implementation of reliability programs to increase the reliability, safety and cost effectiveness of the Sydney and NSW Trains rolling stock.

We are looking for an experienced and Degree/ Diploma qualified Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineer with extensive experience in a rolling stock or other heavy maintenance environment. A candidate who is able to provide rapid and effective engineering and management support to a diverse group of stakeholders will do well in the role.
