4 month System Administration role with our client based in Geelong. ASAP start.

We are now looking for a System Administrator for a 4 month assignment in central Geelong.

Your new role
In this role, you will be responsible for technical support and management of the following:

  • Plan, design, configure, implementation of IT hardware/software and solutions

  • Ensure the continued integrity and availability of systems by performing routine and ad-hoc maintenance, updating and monitoring as required, including all tasks scheduled as per published IT infrastructure calendar

  • Manage IT support requests escalated to Level 3, as well as providing backup Level 1 & 2 Support as required, ensuring that support processes are followed correctly

  • Perform systems work during the most suitable time to minimise business impact, including after-hours and weekend periods

  • Respond to incidents on-call outside of business hours

  • Application support for in house or line of business applications

  • Maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure ongoing integrity of IT systems

  • Utilise DevOps workflow and methodologies to support evolving IT processes

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in Systems Administration role

  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server and related technologies including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, WSUS, ADFS, PowerShell, Hyper-V etc

  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server, SharePoint Server administration

  • Knowledge of IaaS/PaaS cloud platform architecture and technologies (AWS / Azure / etc)

  • Knowledge and skills with Office 365 / Exchange Online

  • Working knowledge of version control practises, configuration management and DevOps automation

  • Excellent time management skills to prioritise workload and meet deadlines and goals

  • Demonstrated competency in systems documentation

  • High level of energy, enthusiasm, and innovative thinking style

  • A current Driver’s License

ITIL V3 Foundation or CCNA certifications will be highly regarded.
