Joining the team at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, you will engage in clinical practice as determined by the Director of Neurosurgery and Senior Neurosurgery consultant staff. You will be responsible for outpatient and inpatient day to day clinical care of patients under the direct supervision of nominated Consultant staff. As part of your role, you will organise and implement clinical review programs as part of quality assurance, including the preparation of reports, clinical research projects and presentations at departmental meetings. It is expected that you will be involved in the after-hours roster on a regular basis, and ensure a high standard of clinical practice of Resident Medical Officers/Interns in the Department by assisting with the postgraduate teaching program. You will hold a MBBS or equivalent degree and be registrable with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority (AHPRA), along with FRACS (Neurosurgery). With prior experience in supervising junior medical staff, you will demonstrate clinical skills appropriate for duties in the neurosurgical department. You will be committed to fostering a working relationship with patients, their families and other staff which demonstrates courtesy, respect, consideration, empathy, honesty, openness, providing good service, promoting health and promoting the goals of the institution.
