The opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Asset Engineer Track to be a part of our Asset Management team within Sydney Trains. This position plays a key role in coordinating the discipline specific asset management plans for the assigned districts, incorporating routine maintenance (RM), major periodic maintenance (MPM), capital works and external party works.


You will ensure program alignment with the Sydney Trains Asset Management Program, to facilitate network sustainability and capacity to meet demand, in addition to the optimisation of total asset life cycle cost for all relevant asset classes.


We are looking for someone who is tertiary qualified in engineering or rail maintenance management and you will have demonstrated experience in asset management or rail related maintenance field.


You will have an understanding of asset management, rail infrastructure and operations with experience in configuration management and Project Management, including the full project life cycle.


You will have excellent planning, analytical, and problem solving skills with a high level negotiation and communication skills.
