The opportunity



We have an exciting opportunity for a District Maintenance Coordinator to be a part of our Customer Support Division within Sydney Trains. The position will require extensive travel west to Broken Hill border.





This position plays a key role in ensuring all Facilities Maintenance assets within a region or district are maintained to customer, WHS and Sydney Trains standards and requirements


 

This role acts as the primary operational interface of the Facilities Maintenance Unit across the station and precinct environment to coordinate and deliver the provision of end to end preventative and corrective maintenance services to meet the needs of stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who is Trade Certified in a Building Trade (i.e. Plumbing, Carpentry, Painting, and Bricklaying) and has substantial current experience in Building Maintenance, in a building maintenance trade or maintenance environment.


 

Your experience will cover Asset Maintenance processes/asset lifecycle and you will be knowledgeable in relevant building codes and standards, procurement procedures and policies as well as interpreting drawings, plans and specifications.


 

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as management skills including team supervision, work allocation and budget control.


 

It is a requirement of the role to provide 24/7 on-call and call-out support.


 
Current Drivers Licence is essential.
