National Sales Director

The National Sales Director will be responsible for managing the commercial activities across all products and business areas. A background in banking or OEM / Automotive financing will place candidates in good stead.

My client is a big name in Commercial Vehicles. They have a strong portfolio of automotive brands and financing products and solutions.


The National Sales Director will be responsible for the following;

-Designing, developing and implementing the sales and marketing processes, adopting the captive approach and reflecting the needs of the respective Business Area, dealer network and end customers.

-Maximising growth and new business development with a strong focus on interest spread, fee income and After Tax Return on Equity while increasing the quality of the credit portfolio.

-Leading, coaching, mentoring and motivating a team of dedicated Regional Sales Managers

- Systematically managing Dealer Principle relationships, targeting a performance culture focused on increasing finance and insurance results.

-Joint customer visits together with dealerships and Business Areas.

- Managing timelines around annual review process, wholesale sales submission to be reviewed

-Partnering with respective business areas, driving the implementation of financial services campaigns

-Assessing and ensuring the competency of the Sales Managers and reinforce accountability through management by objectives and monitor target achievement.


-Good knowledge / understanding of financial services products and services

-Thorough understanding of key market drivers for financial services and profound knowledge of how to manage these drivers successfully

-Critical problem solving skills

-Highly target-driven, self-motivated and willing to take responsibility

-Strong strategic planning and analytical skills as well as holistic thinking

-Strong key account management and communication skills

-Demonstrates managerial effectiveness (doing the right things) and efficiency (doing things right)

-Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to interact and influence at all levels both internally and externally

-High standard of professionalism and operate with integrity
