Senior Category Manager

Exciting Senior Category Manager position with a forward thinking and successful FMCG organisation who will be responsible for category development, price and promotion management, NPD and strategic business planning.

This role involves taking key responsibility for the overall category strategy, providing key insights and customer development with the major retail channel partners. Other duties will include; category development, pricing & promotional management, NPD & EPD, business planning, shopper marketing and channel planning, whilst being the 2IC to the Head of Category. This is a great opportunity for an existing Category Manager to step up and take the strategic lead within the team managing the key retail accounts.


The successful applicant will have;

  • Category Management background within FMCG

  • Experience in working with the major grocery retailers on category reviews, NPD launches, etc.

  • Excellent analytical skills and understanding of retail insights

  • Proven track record of success in identifying customer behaviours to deliver a commercial outcome

  • Ability to manage and negotiate with senior stakeholders both internally and externally

  • Strategic thinking, planned and organized and be able to work effectively in a team environment

  • Degree qualified in Business, Marketing or related field is preferred
