About our Campus:
Oac South Melbourne has a special charm and distinct character as it is located in a heritage listed train station. The Campus has a large outdoor area and floor to ceiling windows allowing the natural light to flow through.
The South Melbourne Campus is so easy to get to with Tram 96 running right through the campus. The campus is an historic building with heaps of character and charm lurking behind every corner. We are currently seeking an experienced Kitchen hand to join the team in our South Melbourne Campus. You will be assisting in the preparing and cooking of meals for 26 energetic preschool children.
Other duties involved:
• Ensure the kitchen is presented immaculately at all times • Maintain and take care of kitchen appliances and utensils • Complete all required documentation including cleaning and maintenance logs • Ensure food safety by checking food on delivery, and check temperatures when cooking, serving and re-heating food • Attend all room team meetings and monthly campus team meetings
This is a part time position working 25 hours a week for lunch time shifts - great for anyone who may be a student or parent! Please note, this is a role working Monday to Friday from 9am - 2pm.
Our South Melbourne campus is easily accessible by public transport.
What we are looking for:
• Approved Food Handling qualifications • 1 years' work experience working in a kitchen setting • Experience in working as a team • Desirable - Knowledge of statutory regulations relating to the industry
