Funding Risk Analyst
We're not like other banks. We were created by the industry super funds to bring a fairer, more human approach to banking. We are all about helping Australians get ahead - to put people's dreams within reach and to let them live the lives they really want.
Banking isn't about money. At least, it's not about money - it's also about people. We're all about helping them get ahead with no-fuss, low-fee banking services, without the gotchas or surprise costs.
It's not rocket science; we give them more and cost them less. Everybody wins.
This is a newly created role where you’ll assist with oversight of the Bank’s funding including knowledge of the regulatory requirements, reporting, stress testing and policy review.
You’ll be well-versed APS210 and how it applies to ME’s funding risk and assist in the preparation of reports including ALCO, compliance reporting, policy review and presentations for various internal and external stakeholders.
As an experienced professional with a sharp analytical mind, you’ll be monitoring funding risk metrics and modelling, assessing risk models in line with risk appetite and preparing reports for review and approval by the Liquidity & Funding Risk Manager.
Working with a variety of people, you’ll have excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts simply. There will be a ‘zillion’ topics to cover and you’ll assist the broader team on deliverables such as Liquidity, ICAAP, Recovery Planning and Projects.
With a strong understanding of financial products, financial markets, risk, banking, and treasury processes, you enjoy problem solving and love to take on difficult challenges. You’ve had exposure to LCR and NSFR and if you’re not sure what this is, this is probably not the role for you.
You’re an Excel expert with a good understanding of creating and updating models and using complex formulas. You’re comfortable looking at and analysing balance sheets and understanding the relationship across financial statements and regulatory reports.
We are a pretty close team here at ME, so our work overlaps and we need to be across each other’s stuff (at least at a high level). You’ll be someone who is happy to pitch in anywhere as needed.
You’re able to work through multiple topics and deadlines with ease and are very analytical in your thought process. You can find the risk in any scenario (and also how to mitigate it).
Apart from the stuff we've already mentioned here are some reasons why people love it at ME:
Send us your CV and tell us about why we should choose you as well as your exposure to balance sheets and excel skills.
This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship with ME!
