Physiotherapist – Paediatric Allied Health Team. Full-time job based in Darwin, NT.

Due to ongoing growth, they are now seeking a full-time Physiotherapist to support children aged 0-18 year with developmental difficulties.

Your new role
Reporting to a Team Leader, you’ll provide therapy services within a transdisciplinary, early intervention framework using a developmentally-orientated, family-centred model of practice. Amongst other duties, key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing evidence-based physiotherapy interventions for a wide range of neurodevelopmental conditions including cerebral palsy, global developmental delay, epilepsy, spinal muscular atrophy, genetic and metabolic conditions, autism spectrum disorder and various syndrome

  • Working collaboratively with families to assess, plan, implement and review targeted and meaningful developmental therapy interventions within a transdisciplinary key worker model or multidisciplinary model

  • Liaising closely with team members including occupational therapists, psychologists and speech pathologists to meet the therapeutic goals of the child and family

  • Liaising with key stakeholders such as childcare centres, schools and relevant medical professionals to ensure timely and co-ordinated provision of services for the child and family within their community

  • Maintaining accurate and up to date documentation including clinical notes and reports in accordance with professional standards and relevant legislation including the Disability Act

What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate you’ll have tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy and will have current registration with AHPRA. You’ll also have a minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience working in paediatric physiotherapy and experience working with children and families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Experience with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients will be highly regarded. Additionally, you’ll have, or will be willing to obtain, a Police Check, Ochre Card, and First Aid Certificate.

Dependent on experience, the salary on offer ranges from $78,097 - $108,126 plus super and salary sacrificing.
