As the Restaurant Manager / Supervisor at our MAZi restaurant, you’ll be the one of two leading our exceptional team into creating amazing experiences. Whether it’s someone visiting for a quick coffee, or a function of twenty people coming in for a Christmas Day lunch, you’ll know exactly what it takes to make it their best ever and always a memorable experience.
You wake up in the morning and do your routine social media checks. You’re confronted literally with feeds. Not news feeds, actual meals from around the world. If it weren't for your grumbling tummy, you’d swear you’d already had a four-course meal before you even got out of bed. Your mind is always on quality food, quality food is always on the mind.
You commute to your job - yet despite having just eaten – food is still in your thoughts. Entrées are everywhere. Unique main courses matched with perfect wines are being mumbled on the radio, or that’s how you’re hearing it anyway. The colours of the traffic lights remind you of desserts and inspire you with creative new ideas for presentation.
Once you arrive at work, you’re already planning morning breakie. It’s not as simple as a muesli bar and piece of fruit. Will today be muesli with coconut and husk or Bircher with honey? A simple banana on the side won’t suffice. You want a variety of berries surrounded by neatly sliced melon and a dollop of fresh Greek yoghurt drizzled with rhubarb puree. Plus you’ll definitely need a coffee to go with. But not just an instant straight-out-of-the-packet type. It’s got to be only the best of beans grounded and then mixed with the milk prepared to perfection. Paper mug? Forget about it. Barista standards only!
You’re also passionate about your customers having an experience, not just a meal. Youknow what that takes. You know that the experience doesn't just depend on what happens in the kitchen. It starts the moment the customer walks into the venue. It ends the moment they leave. The greeting upon arrival, the service and the environment, it all is imperative. The food itself is important, but a bad taste doesn’t always happen inside your mouth.
You know how to create an environment for your team that empowers them to deliver a flawless experience for each and every customer. You know what needs to be done but are very hands on and lead from the front-line. You are the friendly and familiar face to your customers and the teams respected mentor! You love creating that amazing experience anddeveloping innovative ideas using many minds, not just for the customer but also for theteams development.
Combine that passion with experience in customer service, leadership, great communication and organizational skills. If the person we've just described sounds very much like you, then we can provide you with the perfect team to join and more importantly lead into the new MaZi experience.
If you are available to work rostered shifts, have a current RSA competency card as well as previous relevant experience leading food and beverage teams, knowledge and experience in ‘hygiene for food handlers’, we strongly suggest you apply.
