Seeking an experienced Financial Accountant and General Office Manager for immediate, permanent opportunity

Our client, a highly reputable organisation within Darwin is seeking a Finance Manager to be responsible for overseeing the financial and risk management operations and general administrative requirements of two small offices managing 3 direct reports (Finance Officers).
Your new role
As an all round Office Manager and Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the accounting, HR, tax and IT functions including the production of periodic financial reports and budgets; overseeing the accounts receivable / payable and payroll; bank reconciliations; BAS statements; General Ledger; debtors accounts; management reporting; annual financial statements; annual budgets and forecasts including capital acquisitions and project costing and reporting; compliance; the maintenance of the integrity of the MYOB and PROGEN databases and accounting records; statutory reporting; hiring and supervision of accounting staff inclusive of performance management and ongoing development; monitoring of control systems and accounting policies and procedures designed to preserve company assets and mitigate risk; managing outsourced functions including external accountants and auditors, IT support and procurement with outsourced providers; and so on.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will require strong knowledge of the full accounting function including A/P, A/R, Payroll, Month End, Reporting, Analysis, Budgeting/forecasting and variance analysis where required. The ideal candidate will have financial services background with a meticulously detailed approach; able to provide commentary on the accounts where necessary. Advance Excel skills; including, V Lookups, Pivot Tables, Sum function is preferred. Knowledge of Netsuite are also desired. You will ideally be CA or CPA with a Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent. The position requires a high level of written and oral communication skills.
