We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Enrolled Nurse to work at the Carramar Hostel facility located in Perth's north-east suburb of Morley. Carramar Hostel is owned by City of Bayswater and managed by Juniper, offering support to 40 high care, dementia and palliative clients within a home-feel environment.

The purpose of this role is to provide exceptional person centred care for our residents and lead the multidisciplinary team of care staff to ensure the smooth running of each shift. The role also includes the responsibilities of assisting with resident assessments, planning and evaluation of care in a clinical residential aged care setting.

On offer for the successful candidate will be a part-time position of 30 hours per fortnight (minimum) working Monday & Tuesday nights from 11:00pm-7:15am.

Key Responsibilities of this role:

  • Provide nursing and clinical care for residents, correctly and according to their care plans
  • Assist residents with the safe administration of medications
  • Lead and supervise staff in the provision of effective person centred care to our residents with the expected outcome of positively enhancing their quality of life
  • Respond to the requests and concerns of families and carers in liaison with the Residential Manager
  • Provide nursing and clinical care to residents through development, implementation, review and evaluation of care plans
  • Ensure ACFI, assessment and referral records are maintained

The Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:

  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Recent experience within Residential Aged Care
  • Outstanding planning and co-ordinating skills in matters related to the delivery of care
  • Ability to guide staff and support the families of our residents
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, interpersonal and team membership skills
  • Previous experience in leading a team within a healthcare setting
  • Sound knowledge of ACFI documentation requirements
