DHA Level 4 - Leasing Contract Officer - Canberra

This position resides within Defence Housing Australias (DHA) Business Development Unit (BDU).

As Leasing Contract Officer you will report to the National Manager Leasing and locally to the Regional Director. Additionally, you will at times be required to follow direction of the National Support Manager Leasing.

The Leasing Contract Officer role has a responsibility for achieving provisioning targets as per the Capital Plan for their region. This position is responsible for providing expert leasing advice to internal and external stakeholders.

To be effective in this role you must possess a team player and customer service focus, client management skills, strong organisational, time management skills, including the ability to produce high quality work within agreed deadlines. You will be required to work cooperatively and consultatively across DHA Divisions to achieve whole of business outcomes, whilst ensuring DHA meets its obligations under the Lease Agreement.

Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills are essential for this position. You must also have sound computer skills in Microsoft Office and the capacity to learn and use DHA specific software packages.

Eligibility: The remuneration package is negotiable and includes a base salary, potential performance bonus and Commonwealth funded superannuation. Employment with DHA is conditional on successful applicants demonstrating that they are an Australian citizen, meeting the required medical standards, achieving a satisfactory character clearance and obtaining and maintaining a security clearance at the required level.
