Corporate Finance Manager

About the Firm:

You will be working for a leading Mid Tier Accounting firm as part of their Corporate Finance group specialising in Valuations, M&A, Transaction Services and Mergers & Integration.

This market leading firm has a strong national and international presence working with a diverse client base related to transactions involving private equity, leading blue chip organisations and middle market firms across a wide variety of sectors.

About the Role:

Due to progressive expansion of the firms Corporate Finance division an opportunity for a Corporate Finance Manager has arisen in the Melbourne marketplace. Due to a succession of large, complex matters we have two opportunities for an Assistant Manager and a Manager.

You will be responsible for supporting the team across Valuations, Financial Modelling, M&A but you will have a strong focus on providing support to both buyers and sellers leading due diligence assignments related to transactions involving private equity, investor groups and strategic corporate buyers.

Working with extremely reputable and well regarded Partners nationally you will be responsible for the management of a team of support staff and the long term development of your own network.

Key Responsibilities:

As a focused Corporate Finance Manager you will be responsible for supporting high performing project teams assisting a varied client base with a hybrid focus across Valuations, M&A activity and Transaction Services assignments.

In your role you will also be responsible for:

  • Managing a wide variety of complex transactions including acquisitions, mergers, divestments and capital raisings,
  • Delivery of wide variety of Valuations projects & Engagements
  • Investigative Accounting, IAR's, Financial Modelling and Analysis
  • Managing and leading project teams on global deals with international and national blue chip brands, fast growing companies and private equity firms
  • Project management of transactions & engagements including direct liaison with senior management both buy side and sell side.
  • The effective management and motivation of small to large teams dependent on the size of the deals.

The Person:

You will have experience working in a leadership role within a Corporate Finance team for a leading Management Consulting, Strategy Firm or Top 4 Accounting firm or large Mid Tier.

The Role would suit a Top 4 candidate focused in a specific area looking to expand their exposure into other areas of Corporate Finance.

You must also have:

  • Experience in a leadership capacity managing small to large teams
  • Experience gained in a corporate or professional services environment
  • Strong Stakeholder Management experience.
  • A strong work ethic and ability to adapt to a constantly changing business environment.
  • Degree Qualified and CA Qualified or working towards qualification
  • Strong Analytical Skills and passion for working in Corporate Finance
