Conservation Team Member

Permanent Full Time

$57,244 pa (includes Industry Allowance) plus superannuation

Wyndham City's Facilities and Open Space Department currently has an opportunity available within the Conservation Unit located at the Municipal Depot.

Reporting to the Team Leader Conservation, this position will be responsible for working in designated teams to complete daily tasks in maintaining the City's Conservation Reserves to a high standard. You will be responsible for leading on-ground tasks such as revegetation, weed eradication, flora and fauna assessments, enhancing remnant areas and general conservation maintenance. Knowledge in conservation of fauna and flora is a requirement as is management/maintenance of vegetation alongside creeks, rivers, wetlands, grasslands and coastal areas throughout the municipality.

To be successful in this role, you will possess a current Victorian drivers licence have experience in the use of small plant and working within a team environment. Demonstrated competence in weed and plant identification including knowledge of revegetation techniques are key attributes for your success in these positions. Qualifications in Natural Resource Management, Conservation or equivalent would be advantageous.
