We are recruiting for 2 positions within our Group Technology Compliance team which sits in our Compliance, Legal and Secretariat division. One role will have a focus on Cyber and Privacy Compliance work whilst the other will support our business as usual work. These roles are responsible for providing specialist compliance advice and ongoing support to Group Technology.
- Support the 1st line management team to understand and manage their compliance obligations
Provide independent 2nd line review and challenge
Provide compliance support to and work collaboratively with the Tech Risk Cybersecurity function- Cyber and Privacy position
Assess Group Technology activities domestically and globally to identify applicable compliance obligations
Engage with senior business leaders to provide insights aligned to their business strategy
Help build new compliance infrastructure
Facilitate embedding the 3 Lines of Defence compliance model to Group Technology- BAU
Assist with the compliance assessments of incidents escalated by first line Risk with a potential compliance impact
Assess compliance incidents against agreed procedures and standards
Promote compliance by delivering training and communication programmes
Assist in the preparation of quarterly Technology Operational Risk & Compliance Management Reports and attend Risk Committees- BAU
Tertiary qualifications in Legal (desirable) or related discipline
3+ years working experience in the financial services industry, developing and advising on compliance frameworks and issues
3+ years working experience Extensive experience in an Advisory function or comparable role (desirable)
Ideally, interest and/or experience in digital/emerging technologies (FinTech) and/or business strategy
Understanding the Australian banking market in terms of challenges, trends, competitive & regulatory environment
Ensures stakeholder engagement and commitment through effective communication and involvement
Ability to identify and investigate process simplification opportunities, delivering business innovation
Ability to act autonomously
Strong organisational, relationship-building and management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
