Commis Chef

As a Commis Chef, you will be an integral part of a five star hotel kitchen team preparing and presenting quality driven food for a casual contemporary restaurant and bar Bacar, upscale conferencing spaces room service and a soon to be built executive lounge. Our supportive Executive Chef Ben Nicholls will be looking to drive your development so you can get the most out of work and develop your career on a rising path.

We are looking a chefs who:

  • Take pride in your work and have a keen eye for detail.
  • Want to be apart of the creating and executing evolving menus reflecting seasonal produce and dining trends?
  • Can communicate effectively
  • Are keen to learn and grow in a fast paced environment.
  • Gain a high level of culinary knowledge in trends, seasonality & the hospitality industry
  • Work with and coordinate the work of Apprentice Chefs in the preparation and production of food as required
  • Keep all working areas clean and tidy. Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned
  • Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage, whereby you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining stock control procedures
