Thanks to the growth of our Defence business in Australia, we are currently recruiting for a Chef Supervisor for our Defence site at the Richmond RAAF Base. You will be a Hospitality superstar and will be a proven leader of back of house teams that provide a first class customer service experience.

This position will see you working in a small team, catering to our clients within the defence sector. You will be responsible for catering for defence personnel and you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen. This will include managing chefs, ensuring adherence to the Food Safety Program, stock control, food ordering, running functions and so forth. You must have solid catering experience, including bulk meal production and outstanding customer service. If you're looking for stability and a full time position, then this role is for you!

Key duties

* Ensure efficient operation of the kitchen, bulk cooking and managing other chefs;
* Completing stock control, ordering, hygiene, menu planning, safety awareness & staff control duties
* Organising your daily work load achieve high quality output in volume
* Implementing and observing relevant safety & hygiene practices
* Organising and planning functions
* Ensuring outstanding customer service is provided to clients

The person:

* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Experience building and maintaining customer relationships
* Solid knowledge of quality management systems
* Strong awareness of Hygiene & Food Safety Standards
* Proven ability to lead a team
