A fast-growing market information provider is looking for a Business Development Manager to capitalise on a hungry marketplace. This organisation uses industry intelligence and data, enabling individuals within a business to be more productive, efficient and successful in their processes. They create and deliver the best business profiles for their customers, with digestible researched data. They have been around for over two decades, and have over 5000 customers globally.
The new Business Development Manager will be responsible for understanding a practised sales process and different sales techniques, and will be able to execute these independently at the Director and CXO level. The role covers the full sales cycle of research, lead generation, building relationships, presentations, understanding the intricate needs of the client, and closing customers. There will be ample training and support provided both locally, and from international headquarters to help you close those big deals.
The office is growing, and this is genuine opportunity to affect change within this organisation by running your sales process like it's your own business. In return, the organisation is prepared to award their new BDM/AM generous commissions on all sales they bring in, completely uncapped.
Responsibilities:

  • New business development of target industries (engineering, manufacturing, IT, agriculture, finance, professional services, construction, to name a few)
  • Work with your manager to meet and achieve agreed sales targets
  • Uphold systematic sales forecasts and manage pipeline
  • Utilise other colleagues and international headquarters (US) for support
  • Build relationships to identify opportunities within current company clients
  • Follow up on customer inquires (warm leads) with solution sales

Requirements:

  • Three + years business development experience
  • An established record of sales and relationship building in any industry
  • Preference for candidates with understanding of business intelligence or data, however not required
  • Able to sell solutions and present at Director and C-Level
  • A tenacious attitude and hunter mentality, and a great team player
