Business Development/Key Account Mgr - Bulk Handling

A dynamic organisation that services the mining sector across Australia, our client seeks an experienced Business Development/Key Account Manager to join their team in Queensland.

Based in either Brisbane or The Bowen Basin (Mackay/Moranbah), you will have previous exposure to the mining resource and bulk handling sectors, specifically relating to conveyor equipment and services.

Spending half of your time in the office, and the remainder on site, you will be responsible for managing the major accounts, developing and maintaining relationships and working toward further sales opportunities with these clients.

As an experienced Sales/BDM/Account Management professional, you will have worked alongside some of the most recognised companies in the mining sector, and part of your brief will be to work with the Sales Manager and the Engineering and Production teams to ensure all SLA's are exceeded.

Ideally you will have a mechanical trade background, but also possess the commercial acumen to work with strategy, budgeting and forecasting. It is important that you can show demonstrated success in an Account Management role within the mining sector, strong exposure to bulk material handling (ideally conveyors), and experience operating within a project management environment.

It goes without saying that you will be an expert communicator with a strong technical background who can build relationships and 'talk the talk' at both a corporate and site level. You will have spent time on busy mine sites, and be available to travel to site on a regular basis. You will also be highly competent across the Microsoft suite, and in using CRM systems.
