The TelstraDefence Engagement Business Unit (DEBU)Business Analyst is responsible for a number of operational, delivery and compliance functions within the Business Operations and Strategy function for the DEBU on the Department of Defence account.
Working with key stakeholders (including Finance, Service Operations, Project Services, Service Integration, Commercial and HR and other key Defence Engagement functions), the Business Analyst will seek to elicit, translate, analyse and simplify both business and functional requirements to support business and delivery operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Providing data and business metrics trend analysis support for the DEBU, including highlights, pipeline, trends, risks and opportunities;
Eliciting, translating, simplifying and validating data utilised for reporting outputs ensuring accuracy, identifying and rectifying data anomalies;
Contributing to initiatives which continually improve internal processes and effectiveness;
Assist in driving effective operational outcomes through KPI tracking, analysis of performance metrics, and identifying improvement opportunities based on insights gained;
Supporting the delivery of ongoing executive and operations governance frameworks and cadence;
Delivery of ongoing governance and reporting needs (both internal and customer related) and associated activities (KPI tracking, templates, charters, frameworks, schedules, compliance and quality assurance).;
Demonstrating process excellence in all governance activities according to required time frames;
Supporting the ongoing executive reporting and presentations for Senior Leadership, The Executive and key Defence Engagement Stakeholders;
Coordinating the development, quality assurance and submission of weekly, fortnightly and monthly reports in line with established reporting cycles;
Governance forum management – coordination (including partial secretariat duties) and coordination of reviews and joint review meetings;
Coordination of Risks and Issues and outstanding documents summary as required for inclusion in Executive reports;
Scheduling formal meetings / staff and customer events, coordinating attendees, venues and relevant materials required; preparing and circulating meeting minutes for the account as required;
As part of the team, responding to queries and management of an account functional Mailbox.
Candidates must be Australian Citizens to be considered. This role will require you to hold and maintain an Australian Government Baseline security clearance.
