Our large kitchen operations prepare food across the entire resort, Ayers Rock Resort has its own Bakery and Patisserie, Conferencing and Events sections, as well as catering for the award winning 'Sounds of Silence' where guest dine on a sumptuous outback banquet under the stars in the shadow of Uluru. Our kitchen team reflects the international and local flavours of our cuisine, with over 70 Professional Chefs working tirelessly to ensure our guests receive a world class food experience.

As one of our Bakers, you will be responsible for preparing baked goods to the very highest standard of quality and presentation. Our busy bakery supplies a variety of products across all the resort outlets including the resort supermarket and service station. To be considered for the role you should have the following:

  • Catering and Hospitality studies required to obtain Baker accreditation – Cert III Retail Baking or equivalent
  • Scratch baking experience in a medium volume retail or commercial business
  • Excellent food product knowledge with a focus on baked goods
  • Total understanding of a bakery kitchen and a working knowledge of bakery production flow
  • Ability to work with an experienced and fast paced team
  • Well versed in all aspects of Food Hygiene, HACCAP and OH&S
  • Manage a variety of product specifications and recipe management
  • Experienced in inventory management and production planning
  • Previous experience of working in a remotely operated resort is highly advantageous but not essential
