As the Associate Project Manager, responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Support the delivery and management of day to day operational aspects of the project on time and to budget

  • Lead key streams of work on larger projects and manage smaller projects in the portfolio

  • Be involved in orchestrating cross-functional teams through workshops, meetings, and progress measurement activities which bring projects with distinct scope to completion on time and within budget and to the expected quality.

  • Ensure validation of business case parameters, clarity of project components to be delivered to achieve the business case outcome and work with the team to build resource, cost and benefits forecasts bottom up.

  • Work with Project Managers and Program Managers to define the project team required, commission team, and kick-off project.

  • Deliver against requirements of the project governance processes.

  • Report on progress of schedule, risks, cost/benefits, and interdependencies.

  • Support deployment planning, execution, and handover of project deliverables to the business.

  • Engage with operations and business resources to deliver project outcomes.

  • Track system issues and resolutions needed to minimise impact on the business and/or operations and ensure appropriate resolution pathways are identified.

  • Ensure solutions deployed are appropriately integrated into existing operations.

  • Support Project Managers and Program Managers to Identify necessary inputs into IT requirements and solution design to deliver quality solutions for the project.

  • Work with Project Managers and Program Managers to define go-live management / process / team / requirements.

About You

To be successful you will have 2 years+ experience in Project Management as well as:

  • Core skills in formal project management methodology.

  • Demonstrated effective negotiation/influencing with stakeholders

  • Ability to manage conflicts to resolution

  • Leading project teams within operations and/or supply chain environments

  • Experience managing projects with EBIT budgets over $5m

  • Desirable experience in greenfield / brownfield construction projects

  • Have business case development skills

  • Have Management of proof-of-concept experience

  • Be proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint applications or equivalent.

  • Be a proficient user of MS Project/Smartsheets.

  • Have the ability to work in a high performance culture, with a strong desire to work at pace.

  • Be results focused, with a continuous improvement skill set

  • Have a high attention to detail

  • Be able to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders

  • Able to Plan and schedule own work to meet required timelines

  • Able to Identify and obtain support or advice required for the planning, coordination and execution of work

  • Reporting through agreed reporting lines on progress.

  • Escalation of issues for resolution and decision making.

  • Support the Project Manager to control project costs, resources, scope and change request processes.

  • Contributing to the sharing of knowledge and information within own function and with internal clients.

  • Ensuring procedures and documentation are maintained.

  • Identifying means of working smarter and streamlining administration tasks.

  • Anticipate change and proactively identifying opportunities
