About The Role
As an Area Manager Small Business Banking, you will be reporting to the State Head and will be responsible for the delivery of agreed business goals including the growth and profitability of the assigned area, through the provision of differentiated integrated financial services, effective sales and strong leadership.
 
In order to succeed in this role, you will possess the demonstrated ability to coach, inspire and drive a sales team to achieve challenging sales and service goals; have and foster a strong customer service mindset; possess in-depth knowledge of the SME market and the associated credibility to build collaborative networks with senior stakeholders within Business & Private Bank, Retail Banking and local business partner managers.
 
As a leader in a regional business you’ll be, or will become, a fully engaged member of the local communities you serve, and continue to support the wider engagement of all ANZ staff in your area to help your people and local communities thrive.  

About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Proven ability in achieving results through relationship sales and customer delivery
  • Experience in developing revenue strategies to grow the business in a business lending and credit environment
  • Proven depth of experience in managing, coaching, inspiring and developing relationship and sales teams
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • High level negotiation skills and the ability in influence positively
  • Ability to think creatively along with effective self-management skills
  • Ability to work responsibly, and also as a member of a high performing team which is extremely collaborative
  • Working experience as a branch manager (managing a large team), or an experienced relationship manager who has managed large teams are preferred.
