Area Manager

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic leader to join the Albany Zone Operations team as the Area Manager of Area 10. Based in Jerramungup, this is a key role that has a direct impact on the safety and engagement of our people and in creating and returning value to growers.

Reporting to the Zone Manager, you will provide efficient operational leadership and support to a dedicated team in the management of grain within Area 10 and across the zone.


Key Responsibilities

This role will be accountable for:

  • Providing leadership and support to employees
  • Driving safety, quality and environmental programs
  • Operational management of grain receival points
  • Planning, budgeting and scheduling of operational resources
  • Cooperating with other Area Managers across the zone and state
  • Communicating with growers, customers and associated industry organisations to meet and exceed standards of service


Skills and Experience

To be successful, applicants will be able to demonstrate:

  • Demonstrated people leadership and development outcomes
  • Strong customer service focus and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of planning and scheduling work across multiple operational areas; e.g. logistics, grain protection, grain quality, employee training
  • Experience in establishing and managing financial budgets
  • Ability to work in and contribute to a team environment
  • Computer skills – including IBIS and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Participation in or completion of CBH leadership development programs will be well regarded.
